Sino-1 125mm balls in 9.3m (31') SAG mill in Africa

This project began in February 2010 till today. As Sino-1 balls are much harder than balls from the previuos supplier and Sino breakage is less than 1%, the mine achieved a substantial saving in wear rate during the period of project. Ball wear rate dropped from 450g/mt to less than 350g/mt nowadays (22+%).

This project was from end November 2007 untill the end of Sept 2008. As Sino-1 balls are much harder than balls used before and the breakage is less than 1%, the mine achieved a substantial saving in wear rate during the period of project. Continuous supply was ordered right after the trial.

Sino-2 140mm balls in 10.4m (34’) and 11m (36’) SAG mills in USA

This project started in 2004 from 5 sample balls. By that time the mills was running 133mm balls and the mine was looking at 140mm balls to increase the throughput but no 140mm balls available from the market. Sino Grinding designed Sino-2 140mm balls for that specific mine under request. After the sample tests, 20mt were sent to the mine for a survival test, then 200mt were fed into the mill for a production test, then a 500mt extended production test was made, then it ended with continuous supply. All above tests were successful with consistent results.

Sino Grinding was the first to introduce 140mm balls successfully into US market with no breakage record and Sino-2 balls were even harder than the 133mm balls the mills were operating.

Sino-3 105mm balls in 10.4 m (34') SAG mill in Asia

This mill had been running several different kinds of balls from several suppliers before they tried Sino balls. The trial started with Sino-1 100mm balls in 2008 and the mine was happy with the quality of balls and stayed with it. Once Sino-3 design was released for use in 2009 the mine quickly changed to Sino-3 105mm balls untill today.

Sino-3 115mm balls in 9.75 m (32') SAG mill in Asia

This mill had been running 100mm (4") and 125mm (5") balls for several years. In 2009 Sino suggested 115mm (4.5") balls one size only to the mine and the mine agreed a trial. The trial started early 2010 with satisfactory and mill is still running Sino-3 115mm balls till today.

This mill had been running 100mm and 125mm balls for several years. In 2006 Sino suggested Through Hard 115mm balls one size only to the mine and the mine agreed a trial. The trial end with satisfaction and the mine stayed with 115mm Through Hard balls untill late 2009 when Sino-3 balls were introduced to the market. Ever since then the mill has been running Sino-3 115mm balls till today

Sino-4 125mm(5") balls in 9.75m (32') SAG mill in Africa

This mill was running 100mm (4") balls when Sino Grinding approached the mine in 2007. So Sino Grinding commenced this project with 100m Sino-1 balls and suggested 125mm balls to the mine. Sino-1 100mm balls worked very successfully in the mine and they took our suggestion into their consideration. Sino-4 125mm balls were finally introduced into the mill since May 2010 till today with the projected improvements.
